Dr Sarah Ramsey

Dr Sarah is from West Sussex in the United Kingdom. She graduated from The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh in 2006, she also has a degree in Parasitology from Glasgow University. She has been practicing acupuncture since 2007 and is a member of the ABVA. Dr Sarah obtained her certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2016 from the University of Liverpool and her Advanced Veterinary Practitioner status was awarded in 2022. The purpose of the list of Advanced Practitioners is to provide a clear indication to the profession and the public of those veterinary surgeons who have been accredited at postgraduate certificate level (Masters level 7) by the RCVS, by virtue of having demonstrated knowledge and experience in a particular area of veterinary practice beyond their initial primary veterinary degree. Inclusion on the list demonstrates that the individual holds an appropriate qualification and that they have stayed up to date in their field of practice since achieving their certificate-level qualification. Dr Sarah has a particular interest in feline medicine, oncology, pain management and end of life care. Prior to moving to the UAE she was clinical director of a 2 site practice in the UK and head of medicine at a small animal hospital in London.

Dr Sarah moved to the UAE in 2021 with her husband and 2 children, her cats Dexter and Atticus and her Bedlington Whippet, Snowy. A few more cats have been rescued since then (9 and counting!). A tortoise called Taco has also joined the fold.

She is a keen runner and has completed a number of ultramarathons. She is a regular yoga practitioner and enjoys stand up paddleboarding She recently took up aerial gymnastics last year. She aims to complete a triathalon in the next 12 months.
